OUCO has successfully delivered three 2.6-ton, 9.6-meter stiff boom cranes to an Indian port service company, further expanding our presence in the Indian market and enhancing our brand recognition in the region.
The client, whose business spans port and fishing vessel services, will use these cranes primarily for deploying and retrieving fishing nets along the shoreline. To meet this specialized need, OUCO’s technical team conducted in-depth research and designed cranes tailored to the customer’s operational environment.
Meeting Rigorous Requirements
During the project, the customer required the crane structure to withstand twice the normal load standard—far exceeding the typical 1.25 times safety factor used in standard designs. Additionally, as the crane bases were cast directly at the port, it was essential to ensure stability under double the overturning moment to guarantee safe operation.
OUCO’s engineers tackled this challenge through optimized structural design, high-strength steel reinforcement, and rigorous quality inspections, ensuring the cranes met the demanding standards while demonstrating OUCO’s deep technical expertise.
Practical, Durable, and Safe
These cranes feature a straight boom design, ensuring a simple structure, easy operation, and low learning costs while improving operational efficiency and simplifying maintenance for the customer.
For enhanced durability, the cranes are coated with CX-grade marine paint, applied in three layers (primer, intermediate, and topcoat) with a total thickness of 300 microns following SA 2.5 sandblasting. This robust coating protects the cranes from harsh port environments, extending their service life.
In terms of safety, the cranes are equipped with an independent emergency stop system, allowing for quick braking during emergencies to ensure operator safety.
