OUCO has successfully completed the factory inspection and ready-for-transportation phase of two 5-ton 40-meter straight boom cranes. Backed by OUCO’s technical expertise and innovative R&D, these cranes have passed RMRS certification and are set to enhance dock operations and ship repair services for our customers.
Engineered for Dock Operations
These cranes are specifically designed for dock environments, capable of lifting 5 tons at a 40-meter arm length. With a working radius ranging from 10 to 40 meters and 360° slewing capabilities, the cranes efficiently manage large component handling tasks in the dock.
The design focuses on lightweight construction, optimizing structure and material to reduce weight while maintaining performance. The cranes also offer excellent environmental adaptability, operating reliably in temperatures as low as -35°C—making them ideal for use in cold regions.

Overcoming Technical Challenges
Innovative design enhancements improve daily maintenance. The crane’s wire rope is arranged under the boom, supported by a rope guide for smooth and stable operation. This reduces wear and tear and simplifies lubrication and inspections. Quick and easy maintenance not only cuts costs but extends the crane’s lifespan, ensuring uninterrupted dock operations.
The development of these cranes posed several technical challenges, especially around column design. To ensure stability and structural integrity, OUCO’s technical team conducted extensive calculations and tests to optimize the crane’s center of gravity. The use of high-strength materials and innovative processes further boosted the crane’s reliability and performance in demanding dock conditions.
On-site FAT Load Test Video
Before delivery, the customer visited the factory for a thorough inspection. They tested both no-load and loaded operations, verifying the crane’s ability to consistently lift 5 tons at a 40-meter radius. The customer was highly impressed with the crane’s performance and craftsmanship.
The successful delivery of the OUCO-5T40M-SB crane marks a significant achievement in the dock crane sector. Moving forward, OUCO will continue to invest in R&D, exploring new possibilities in special lifting equipment to provide even more efficient solutions for dock services, ship repair, and other industries.
