Recently, OUCO has officially completed factory testing and dispatched two custom-designed offshore knuckle telescopic boom cranes for a prominent German engineering firm.
The machinery is now en route to its destination, where it will be mounted on specialized amphibious pontoon platforms for subsea cable laying and coastal dredging operations along the coast of Nigeria.
Engineered for Coastal Dredging & Complex Offshore Tasks
Built strictly to heavy-duty offshore engineering standards, the two knuckle telescopic boom cranes feature an impressive lifting capacity of 19.22 tonnes at a 7.97-meter radius, with a maximum working reach of 14.17 meters.
Unlike conventional shipdeck installations, these cranes are engineered to operate on tracked amphibious pontoon platforms. Positioned opposite a heavy excavator, the crane draws hydraulic power directly from the excavator’s power unit to execute high-precision lifting during coastal dredging and subsea cabling.
Integrating the crane, the tracked pontoon platform, and the excavator power source into a single unified system presented immense installation challenges. To streamline the on-site setup, OUCO pre-assembled and pre-fitted the connection flange and pedestal base at our factory, delivering a complete, integrated unit that significantly simplifies the final installation process in the field.

To guarantee seamless integration upon arrival in West Africa, OUCO conducted rigorous Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including complete functional checks, rated load testing, and overload testing. All performance metrics met and exceeded design specifications.
Furthermore, OUCO will send dedicated field engineers to Nigeria to oversee on-site installation. Once mounted on the pontoon platforms, our engineering team will perform a second round of full commissioning and load testing to ensure flawless system synergy before active operations begin.
