FAT Test and Installation
These high-performance cranes, an 8T16M and a 3T10M knuckle boom crane, are set to be installed on an icebreaker for polar regions, specifically for research/survey support, supplies, and equipment transfer.
According to ship design expert DMS, Polar Class icebreakers are built to be stronger and more powerful, and they can be heated to operate in the extreme conditions of polar regions—unlike normal ships.
Consequently, the cranes supplied by OUCO for these icebreakers are specially engineered to endure harsh polar climates. Their hydraulic, electrical, and other components are designed to withstand various temperatures.
These cranes can operate safely at temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius, even in the harshest conditions, ensuring uninterrupted performance.
Compliant with offshore standards, these cranes are built to thrive under level 4 sea conditions. Their folding arm design offers optimal flexibility, while the 360° full rotation capability enhances operational efficiency.
Whether operated manually or wirelessly, these cranes provide unparalleled control and safety. Additionally, they come equipped with the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) certificate, attesting to their quality and reliability.
